She wanted to save a dog that might be euthanized if left unadopted. When she saw the sign that said the dog was already nine years old, she knew that Virginia and her had to take her home because nobody else would want her.

After bringing Remy to their house, the atmosphere suddenly became more cheerful due to her affectionate nature. Sister Virginia Johnson expressed her thoughts about Remy, stating that she and the other seniors felt a connection with the senior dog because of her gentle demeanor and amiable personality.
