A puppy with swollen paws was not needed by his owner, but fate brought him to the house of a kind person. np
This light-eyed puppy with a cute muzzle might not have been any different from his “brothers”, if not for one circumstance. The baby turned out to have very thick paws, and this strange shape made doctors worried …

It all started when the puppy ended up at Fur Friends In Needs in New Jersey. Susanna Kappetta, an employee of the organization, found out that the owner does not need this dog because the animal has health problems. The man, apparently, did not want to spend money on the baby, and therefore agreed to transfer him to a shelter.
At first, Suzanne thought that the dog had some kind of damage to the paw, but it turned out that the puppy had swollen both hind limbs. It became clear that the dog was sick, and he needed to conduct a series of tests to understand what disease this crumb had.

Mickey, as the puppy was called, had swollen paws for a reason – the unfortunate dog turned out to have lymphedema (swelling of tissues due to lymph retention). Usually such a disease is inherent in humans, but, as it turned out, dogs can also get sick.
Mickey had to be prescribed medication and procedures, although the dog could not be completely cured. But fate still did not leave the dog …
Once a man named Michael found out about him. He felt sorry for the puppy and decided that he wanted to take him into his home. Suzanne at first did not know if Michael could handle a dog with special needs, but when they met, the future owner dispelled all her doubts. He turned out to be a very kind and bright person who was ready to take in a sick dog.

The “boy” was given a different name and is now called Sherman. The father of three children admits that he fell in love with the puppy at first sight, so he does not regret his decision to make him his pet for a second.
Michael says that the dog hardly notices his problem unless he starts running. At such moments, it becomes difficult for him, and he quickly gets tired.
There is no threat to the health of the dog, but the only thing that can be dangerous for Sherman is a wound on his paw. If he suddenly gets hurt, he will most likely die.
However, Michael does not want to think about it. He is positive, and the dog only makes him happy!
“He’s wonderful ! Real fool! We love him very much and he loves us too!” the owner says excitedly.
