The dog did not abandon the puppies, even when people left them on the street. Responsible, sacrificial behavior on the part of the animal and the complete indifference of individuals.

The editors do not know how events developed before that fateful morning, when the shelter staff found an exhausted female pit bull and a dozen newborn puppies on their doorstep.

There were no calls, no requests for help, no collars to identify the dogs’ origins. Just someone threw a brood of puppies to the shelter, got rid of them. Whether it was also planned to get rid of the dog itself is unknown, but initially it was without a leash and nothing held it. In addition to taking care of the puppies, the mother-dog spent at least a couple of nights near them during the weekend, but did not go in search of food.

The most interesting thing about this story is that the dog has not lost trust in people. And she allowed the shelter staff, and then those who wanted to take the puppy home, to take them in their arms almost freely. She seemed to have decided not to remember evil and to be grateful that other people turned out to be kinder and more sympathetic than her former owners. The female pit bull did not look like a tramp at all – the veterinarians determined that she was a little over a year old and she was generally healthy. Obviously, someone took the puppy to “play”, and when the animal with the offspring became a burden, they simply got rid of everyone at once. People don’t have to do this.
