Ismail had a mongrel dog named Sabir, who had long been taken specifically for the man’s partially paralyzed father.

Metin, despite his illness, moved independently so as not to be a burden for his relatives. And Sabir, who was picked up on the street, became very attached to the old man and followed him everywhere. However, once Metin’s health worsened and he was taken to the hospital – he never returned home.

After burying his father, Ismail noticed that the dog’s behavior had changed – before he was not particularly distinguished by his love for freedom, but now he began to run away from home for the whole day. Sabir returned home in the late afternoon and every time he looked sad.

Ismail decided to find out where the dog goes every day. But he did not even think that the path could be so long and where it would eventually lead him. And following the dog, the man came to the outskirts of the city, but the animal followed further. Then Ismail began to understand exactly where Sabir was heading. A little later, he could already confidently say where the dog was going, namely to the grave of his father.

After all, Sabir did not say goodbye to his master when he was buried. All this time he missed him. And then he was able to find the place where Metin was laid to rest.

When Ismail saw the dog on his father’s grave, he realized how hard this loss was for him – as hard as it was for himself. And when he realized this, he could not hold back his tears, just like Sabir.
